Energy prices will rise for millions of households from April

Energy prices will rise for 15 million households from April, after the industry regulator, Ofgem, raises the price cap.

According to the State of the Energy Market 2019, 53% of domestic consumers are on a default tariff, so the consequences for this will be costly.

With millions working from home or staying indoors more because of the pandemic, many consumers will see their bills rise, so we strongly advise that you switch to a cheaper deal now at Switchboo before it’s too late.

During the Coronavirus pandemic, energy suppliers have struggled to get some households to pay their bills, so Ofgem decided to raise the cap across the country to allow suppliers to recoup their losses.

If you’re one of these people that forget to check their energy bills every year (guilty), you need to get yourself on a fixed tariff now before it’s too late.

We are told all the time about comparison websites being confusing, so we’ve made our site really quick and simple.

Enter a few basic details about you and your energy supply, and we’ll tell you how much your current supplier is overcharging you and show you the cheapest deals we can find in your area.

Now, if you used an ordinary comparison website, the service would stop there, and next year, you would have to remember to do it all over again.

When consumers forget to renew their energy deal or switch to a cheaper deal when it runs out, suppliers will automatically roll you onto their standard variable tariff, which is really expensive.

Switchboo doesn’t just stop here. We are different than an ordinary comparison website. When your energy deal runs out, usually after 12 months, our system will automatically compare your energy bills for you again and switch you to the cheapest deal and sort it all out for you, so you don’t have to worry about it.

Every year you’ll receive an email from Switchboo telling you who the cheapest is, and then we’ll switch you over to them. You haven’t got to do a thing, just sit back and save.
